Reviews and Ratings
I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The rooms were comfortable but needed replenishing daily, and I enjoyed a great view at an excellent price. The service staff were friendly and welcoming, even upgrading me as a returning customer. The location was fantastic, especially for train travelers, providing a superb experience near the promenade. The dining was good overall, though breakfast finished early on Sundays.
The hotel is set in a lovely location with great train and bus access. The rooms offer a beautiful 4 poster bed with stunning views, but some noise from leisure facilities could disrupt your sleep. The service is exceptional, especially from Gemma at the Bar and Breakfast, paying attention to every detail that mattered to us. The location is superb for travelers, but a bit tired-looking in some areas. The dining experience, although buffet style, could use more variety and finished early on weekends. Overall, a great stay with some minor room noise and dining concerns.
Although the room was a bit like a dark cave at the back with trees right outside the window and some stains on the sofa cushions, it didn't spoil the overall experience. The staff, while not very welcoming initially and a bit forgetful, were eventually warm, welcoming, and very helpful, especially with my elderly parents and in my pregnant state. The location was tastefully modernized, close to the town center, and within picturesque countryside so it was a pleasant stay. The dining options were a bit repetitive and basic, but overall good. Facilities were average with no standout features.
The hotel rooms were massive and very clean, but unfortunately, our room had no view and some smell from the kitchen. The warm temperature made us keep the windows open, which felt a bit bad for the environment. However, overall, it was a perfect stay. The staff were friendly and introduced us to the lovely facilities, including the spa that we couldn't enjoy this time.
